Henry had his 1 year wellness visit today.
He weighs 21.8 lbs (52nd percentile) and 30 inches long (53rd percentile). His head circumference is 17 7/8 inches (26th percentile).
(Not so sure about the grass!!)
He loves to explore and see what he can get into next.
He is now pulling himself up on his own...yay!!! And he is continuing to take a couple steps while I am holding his hands.
He is babbling more and more now. He now says mama and dada with intent. He also says 'mor, mor' while eating in order to receive more food. I encourage sign language with him, and I guess he has heard me say more quite a few times. So instead of using his hands he is using his words, which is fine with me. :-) However, he does get pretty loud sometimes, but I guess he knows what he wants! He has also said the word doggie a couple times now. He definitely knows Bailey is a doggie. When Bailey is near him he will say 'd, d, d, d.'
Henry is still wearing size 3 diapers and size 4 diapers at night. He wears 12 month-18 month clothing. However some 9 month shirts he can still wear too. (I really think the clothing companies should get together on their size charts because it definitely varies with each brand.) He wears a size 2 shoe.
Henry has the best laugh!! It is so sweet to hear him laugh.
Henry just cut his 6th tooth in the last week or so. He now has his top right lateral incisor.
Henry eats all table food now. He LOVES blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. The vegetables he will still eat, but he has become pickier about his veggies. He loves grilled cheese, macaroni & cheese, and chicken nuggets too!
Henry is now drinking whole milk in his sippy cup, and he continues to nurse in the morning and at night. I must say it was harder on me to stop the daytime feedings than it was on him. I am very thankful for an easy transition though!
Henry still sleeps around 12 hours each night. He usually goes to bed around 7 or 7:30pm and then wakes up around 7am. He takes 2 naps during the day. His morning nap is around 9am for about 45 minutes to an hour, and then he has his afternoon nap around 1pm for about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
He is always ready for ice cream!! We took our first trip to Big D's ice cream shop here in White House. I know this will be a favorite place of his.
Always willing to help mommy!
First ride in his big boy seat
He seems to enjoy his new car seat, but of course I am more nervous about it than he is!
I still receive weekly updates about Henry's development according to his age. (I started receiving them when I was pregnant.) Anyways....It usually says "Your BABY this week." This past week, it stated, "Your TODDLER this week." I wasn't ready for that!!! Henry is definitely growing and developing and I am looking forward to every moment with him, but he will ALWAYS be my sweet little baby.
