August Highlights

We started off our month in Evansville to celebrate Bryce, Mason, and Uncle Bryan's birthdays.
Henry LOVES to see his cousins!

We were also able to visit with my dear friend, Emily, and meet her precious baby Ezra.
Henry was so excited to see the baby!
CHEESE!!!!
Henry's 1st day in his new class at school.  Preschool time!!
Now he is in the Intermediate class.  His teacher is Ms. Christina.
He had his 1st homework project, which was all about Henry!
His favorite color is yellow, favorite book is Red Roger to the Rescue,  favorite place is the zoo (with Kate and Addie of course), favorite thing to play with are trains, he wants to be a super hero when he grows up, and he doesn't like tomatoes (or any vegetable for that matter!). So cute!!
Henry also went with mommy and voted in the TN primary. He sure was proud!!
When we got back from Gulf Shores, Henry started soccer practice.
His daddy and Conner's daddy, Daren, are the coaches.
Henry's so excited to have Conner on his team! CUTIES!!!
There are a total of 5 kids on his U4 team.
Two girls, Wesli and Kenley, and 3 boys, Zach, Conner, and Henry.

Stickers and stamps make it even more fun!!!
So James and I were able to take a trip to Washington D.C. (August 20-23) for a continuing education course he had.  James had to learn, and I was able to tag along and see the sights.  This was my 1st trip to D.C., and it was so much fun!
Our favorite place to eat was right next to our hotel at City Tap.  Great drinks and great food!
While James was in class, I ventured out and saw everything I could.  I walked to the National Mall and saw the Washington Monument, World War II Memorial, and Lincoln Memorial. I spent the day walking around D.C. and taking it all in.

Then James was able to join me.
We toured some of the Smithsonian's including National Portrait Gallery, National Museum of Natural History, National Museum of American History, and the Archives of the United States of America.
It was amazing!!!
Meanwhile, Henry was in great hands with MoMo and Papa.
He was able to visit with Bryce and Mason too.
And get yummy donuts with MoMo!!
Then James and I were able to tour the Capitol, United States Supreme Court, and The Library of Congress.
Headphones on and listening to our tour guide in the Capitol.
Natural History Museum
3D movie on Jerusalem at the Natural History Museum
Sunset with the Washington Monument.  Beautiful!!
We were then able to end our trip with a tour of the White House!!!  Only pictures outside were aloud. It was gorgeous!

So back home with Henry again.......
We finally changed his bed to a big boy bed! His initial crib, then toddler bed, turned into his now full size bed. Thankfully, he was so excited, and he loves it!!
Our precious, sleeping prince!!

Gulf Shores, AL--- August 9-16th

We had a wonderful week at the beach!!!
We stayed at the same condo as last year, Lighthouse #714.

Playing with his trucks on the beach.
Building sandcastles with Granny.

Cooling off in the pool.
Having fun at LuLu's.
So happy MoMo and Granny came with us!

Gearing up for the pirate ship cruise!
Henry getting his tattoo.
He's ready!!!  Argh!!!!

We had a good time on the pirate ship.  We were able to see dolphins, which Henry loved!  On the cruise, they had a treasure hunt for the kids too.
Henry said he saw Captain Hook (AKA, the pirate/captain of the boat)!!
Henry enjoyed playing in the sand at the beach this year; however, he didn't want to get in the ocean.  I don't blame him since there were lots of jellyfish this year!
Evening swim with MoMo.
Henry was so excited to feed all of the alligators again this year at Alligator Alley.
Our 3 year old little alligator!
Meeting Chewy.
So BRAVE!

Morning walk on the beautiful beach.

Relaxation!
Watching movies in the condo.  His favorite, Cars 2.

Henry LOVED the pool.

Enjoying the sunset.

Loving his time with Granny and MoMo!!

Loved every minute of it!
