The Dunn Family: 2 year check up

Henry had his 2 year old check up this past week.

He is getting SO BIG!

At home, we measured him just under 3 feet tall.

However, at the doctor's office he was measured at 3 feet tall (88 percentile), 28.14 lbs (74 percentile), and his head circumference was 19 inches (50 percentile).

Henry has started taking a parent and child swim class at the YMCA.

He LOVES it!!!

When we tell him we are going to go swim, he says puwl, wader (pool, water). And then of course he gets pretty excited!

He doesn't necessarily enjoy the back float or reaching/arm strokes.

But he does enjoy jumping off the side of the pool and going under water (just for a second).

Above all, his favorite part is after the class. He loves to go down the kiddie slide into the pool!!

Henry has moved up to the 2 year old class at school. His teacher is Mrs. Karen. He has already learned so much. He is working on knowing his colors (he is pretty good at colors), numbers, shapes, days of the week and month. The other day he told me it was April! I was so impressed!!

Henry amazes me with everything he is able to say now. He will repeat EVERYTHING!! The sweetest thing he is saying now (besides I lu uw, mama/dada) is tank uw mama/dada. We have been working on manners, but one day I guess it just clicked. He will tell us thank you when we give him anything! He is also getting pretty good at saying please on his own too. :-)

It is just so sweet when he adds our name on the end to what he is saying!

We have found out that Henry loves corn on the cob!

Henry also had his first dentist appointment. We went to Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry here in White House.

He didn't really allow the dental hygienist to give him a cleaning, and he didn't have fun when the dentist looked at his teeth. However he did enjoy getting a prize from the 'treasure chest' when we left. Overall, it was a good 1st trip to the dentist!!
