6 months

It is hard to believe that Henry is 6 months old now.  He has brought so much joy to our lives.  Henry had his 6 month check up today and received a good report from Dr. Eidson.  He weighs 16.2 lbs and is 26 and 1/2 inches long.  His head circumference is 16 and 3/4.  He is in the 22nd percentile for weight and 50th for height. 

Henry loves to be up and about.  He enjoys to see what is going on.  It is so fun to watch him look at everything and see him learn.

Henry is "talking" so much more now.  He babbles dada, gaga, and he even babbled mama. However, I think he was just trying to make my day because the mamamama only happened one evening.  But he did say it....and more than once too!!  :-)  He becomes so excited when he hears his voice. 

Henry loves books. :-)  This play-book he goes crazy about!!!  Even regular board books he becomes so excited and starts moving around.  His teacher at school (daycare) also commented that Henry showed a lot of excitement when she began reading to him! 

Henry continues to be a very good eater.  He is loving his milk, cereal, and stage 1 baby food.  He has eaten green peas, green beans, squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, apples, peaches, and bananas.  He eats around 6-7 ounces when he takes a bottle, and I guess around the same when he is nursing.  He continues to eat every 3 hours.

Henry is still spitting up (be careful daddy!), but one day he will grow out of it.  James will often say, "I can't wait until....." and I always say, "Don't say that, say you look forward to...."  Well, I definitely look forward to Henry not spitting up! However, I am sure I will miss it one day too.

Henry is wearing size 6 month/6-9 month clothing, and he is wearing size 2 diapers.  He sleeps around 11-12 hours a night.  He is rolling over (back to belly and belly to back) and scooting some.  He is almost sitting up unassisted.  He sits up for about 5-10 seconds before falling over....won't be long! 

We are loving every moment with Henry and looking forward to the amazing memories to come.
